Thanks for your question. We used to use the e-mail address connected to your user account as a "from" address when you send messages from Projectplace.

Unfortunately, most spam filters/e-mail systems are set up to not accept addresses that look like they have been sent from somewhere other than where they should come from. This means that if we use your e-mail address and send the message from our servers it is very likely that the message will end up rejected or put in a spam filter.

So instead we chose to generate a random address when you send an e-mail. This should minimise the risk of the message getting caught somewhere and also allows us to give you feedback if a message bounces.

This became a very long way of saying no:) At the moment there is no way to change the "from" e-mail address in Projectplace. You are welcome to click on the tab Projectplace Ideas at the top of this window and enter this as a new idea. We look through high ranked ideas regularly.
